When a site is selected 'World Heritage' it means it is THE BEST site of its kind on Earth. It is the 'textbook' best example of that type of place in the World.

Many global travelers have a goal to visit as many World Heritage Sites as possible. What a cool way to travel!

WONDERS OF THE WORLD
(There Are More Than 7)

The places selected to be on THE WORLD HERITAGE LIST are the 'Wonders of the World', and yes there are more than seven! These are the most amazing places you can see on Earth either for their outstanding natural beauty, contribution to science, or for being a historic 'cultural treasure'.

World Heritage Sites are put into 2 category types - 'natural environmental sites' and 'cultural man-made sites'. An example of a 'natural site' would be the Grand Canyon, an example of a 'cultural man-made site' would be the Pyramids of Giza.
